"The First African-American & Youngest Public Address Announcer for the Chicago Cubs."
On May 17, 2021, Jeremiah Paprocki was hired by the Chicago Cubs as their new Public Address Announcer. The hiring made history for the organization with their first African-American at the position as well the youngest behind the microphone at 21 years old.

Paprocki started announcing at age 14 in high school at CICS Northtown Academy reading the school announcements. From there, he would announce D1 college sports at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) at age 16, while still in high school.
This achievement in Paprocki's career led to many accolades including Forbes 30 Under 30 in Sport 2022 & his microphone from the 2021 Cubs Season being placed into the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum.
